According to the Srimaad Bhagavad Gita and Sri Bhaagavatham of Supreme Being Godhead 'Sri Krishna', in the current dark age of Kaliyuga, these below three forms of Yogic practices must be followed sequentially and rightly for achieving the highest meditative state—
"Hatha Yoga":
The first practice speaks about "how to sit— Upright Posture" and "where to sit— Sacred Places like Temples."
"Sankhya Yoga":
The second practice speaks about "what and how to visualise— Visualise God, Start from the Lotus Feet and End at the Crown" and "how not to get distracted— Focus upon only His Image until Meditation is Finished." Apart from this, parallelly one has to live their life and perform all their duties by visualising God in everything in this existence irrespective of living and non-living beings.
"Bhakthi Yoga":
The third practice speaks about "what to chant— Chant 'Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare. Hare Raama Hare Raama, Raama Raama Hare Hare' until Meditation is completed." Apart from this, parallelly one has to live at the present state, enjoying and loving everything that exists in this existence irrespective of living and non-living beings and finally at the time of death, one must remember His Name.
One must practice these above three forms of yogic practices daily by slowly getting hold upon senses and then achieving Praanayama state and it must be continued until achieving the "Highest State of Meditation called Moksha."
